Love flowers? Check these out.
Sally sent us a wonderful present for the end of May's "In, At, And About" theme: our prompt was "In Bloom." I thought I would feature some flowers that might usually be overlooked.

A tiny wild blackberry blossom. |
|
The chives are blooming, too! |
|
Tucked away underneath leaves in swampy areas, Jack-in-the-Pulpet. |
|
Tomorrow's berry, today's strawberry blossom. |
|
And to end our list: Some wishes for you, a dandelion seed head.
I hope you have enjoyed the flowers we sometimes ignore....Let's see what others have found.

Our blackberries are barely growing let alone blooming.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos this week, especially the chive with the insect on it.
ReplyDeleteGreat blooming selection of photos this week!! You're not kidding. We do often ignore these blooms, but you've captured them beautifully!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! Even the dandelion looks good. I've always thought the Jack in the Pulpit was intriguing.
ReplyDeleteWith the exception of the dandelion I have none of those flowers.. I actually consider my strawberries to be weeds... and the ones that survive usually get eaten by the birds....
ReplyDeleteThese are all super! And yes, probably a bit over looked most of the time. That photo of the chives w/the bug is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome set of close shots , great variety and nice insect on the chive flower.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty flowers! Love the chives bloom!
ReplyDeleteYou and Amy really taught me the beauty of chives this week. I had no idea they had such pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteOh gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteA great set of photos, I especially like the chive and the dandelion.
