Welcome to my Seed Bead and Metal blog hop reveal post. The Hop is sponsored by Sharyl of Sharyl's Jewelry & Reflections and Shirley of Beads and Bread

Sharyl supplied us with beautiful metal components, and Shirley hand crafted some astounding beaded elements. We would not know what we would be receiving until the package arrived. Th arrival the same week of a package from Jeannie Dukic for her Do-over Challenge just made things more fun, but presented a bit of a dilemma.

You see the fresh water pearls in Jeannie's package went so perfectly with the green in Shirley's beaded components. And Jeannie's reveal is not until next week! While I don't want to jump the gun on the second blog hop. I could not resist using a few pearls in this design.

Here is what I received:

A Pretty Package!

Goodies inside
I didn't find use for the extras Sharyl send for this project, but you can bet this ribbon will get put to good use, as will the extra beads!

These coordinated so beautifully!

Finished project

You can see the pale green pearls that came in Jeanie's Do-Over Package!

All I had to add were some assorted copper metallic seed beads, Some wire, and those pretty pale green fresh water pearls. I love the colors in the focal and the beads, they are perfect with the seed beads and wire!

Here is a list of the other participants, I can't wait to see what they created!

  1. Beautiful, beautiful! Even put together in the box as they were, I would not have thought to use Shirley's beaded squares in the way you did, using them to connect the chain to the pendant! What a great idea! And the use of those pale green pearls are perfect for adding a bit of splash to those lovely copper metallic seed beads you've strung for a chain! (And now I really want to rush out an buy some of those copper beads! You can expect to find me using some very soon!)

I also admit I have a difficult time photographing these metal pieces sometimes so they show off the color, but you did it splendidly! Thank you so much for being a part of our challenge, Beti!

  2. Beti - I love what you did here with all these wonderful surprise components! And I can see why you'd sneak in a few of those pearls too! :) Ditto what Sharyl said - the metal is tough to photograph. This is a pretty necklace and you matched those seed beads perfectly!

  6. Beti, I love the two focals from Shirley! My own focal had those same tiny green seed beads and I love that color. That you chose to add green pearls to the mix truly pulled it all together, love the colors overall, so pretty. I love Sharyl's patinated metal piece in your necklace, as I special ordered one from her months ago in a particular colorway. Great work, thank you for sharing with us, Beti! Laren :)

  7. Hi Beti,
Your necklace is gorgeous I love how you brought Shirley's beautiful seed beaded components together with the beautiful metal focal piece Sharyl made in a simplistic style, that lets Sharyl's and Shirley's components shine.

  8. You are so right about the little green pearls, the match perfectly! I love how you used Shirley's beaded components to attach Sharyl's focal. The colors are amazing and I think you nailed it by keeping it simple to highlight the gorgeous called art beads! Great job!
