The Bare Essentials
This week's photo assignment on our Minimalist theme is Silhouette. Sally Russick gave us some suggestions on how to use our cameras to create silhouettes of objects against a bright background, like the sky. I read them, but ran out of daylight to fiddle with my camera. Too bad I can't take a photography sabbatical.
Here is what I came up with:

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos - I love the birds in the tree, but I also love the icicles - it's very rarely cold enough in the UK for anything that dramatic.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the second picture... our icicles are gone the 30 mm of rain last week melted all the snow off our roof... which is good! The tree picture is great!
ReplyDeleteThe second picture is a line of culverts taking a small stream under someone's driveway. They look more round without the snow.

ReplyDeleteI love the icicles. Ours are gone as our temperatures have been doing jumping jacks.

ReplyDeleteI do like the icicle photo but the tree and birds are perfect silhouettes!
ReplyDeleteI love your wind chimes. And the tree branches are perfect - that's the route I took as well. There's something so basic about their leafless limbs against the sky. Very pretty!
