Focus On Life: Outside - About the Ground

Looking down from the Bridge.

This week Sally Russick sent us the prompt "About the Ground."  So after focusing on looking up last week, we are going to be looking at the ground his week for "Focus on Life."

Almost every day I walk across the bridge across from my house. I always look down, but sometimes I get a bit of a surprise.

Not sure how these logs go to be lined up this way, but you can really see them when the water is low.

Fishers, sometimes called fisher cats, playing on the logs.

A cardinal flower.

Fancy meeting you here!

Anyone else looking down this week?

    1. Yes, that's a deer turning to look up at me. I didn't have time to take a zoomed in shot.

    1. It's unlikely that the logs were part of an old bridge, it was actually replaced not long ago. I wonder if they may be from the time when there was a tannery there. That would make them somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 years old. Or maybe a piece of the bank gave way and they fell that way.
